JYP announces that defender Tobias Winberg will use his overseas option in his contract, so he will leave the team and move abroad next season.

At the same time, JYP reports that they have exercised the option in defender Roni Jokinen’s contract, so he will continue with the club next season.

Winberg, 27, joined JYP this season on a two-year contract that included a player overseas option for the second season. Winberg played 53 regular season games for JYP this season, scoring 2+15=17 points, and three playoff games without any points.

Winberg played last season in the SHL representing MoDo Hockey. Over the last two seasons, he has also been seen with the Lions.

Jokinen, 22, has played for JYP for two seasons. This season, he recorded 60 regular season games with a scoring record of 4+16=20. He did not register any points in three playoff games.
