The Canadian forward Steven Jandric, who has played for Lukko in recent seasons, has been linked in rumors to a new team. The German newspaper Donaukurier reports that the Nürnberg Ice Tigers, playing in the DEL league, are interested in acquiring Jandric for the next season.

Earlier in April, Urheilucast reported that Ässät is also on Jandric’s trail. According to Esko Seppänen, Jandric has a contract offer from Ässät on the table.

Jandric, 28, represented Lukko for two and a half seasons. He recorded 149 regular season games with a total of 42+47=89 points and 18 playoff games with 4+6=10 points.

In the 2024-25 season, Jandric posted strong numbers with 21+24=45 points in 60 games. The past season was more challenging for him, as he achieved 9+13=22 points in 58 games.

Donaukurier reports that Jandric’s younger brother Chris Jandric has also been linked to Nürnberg. He played this season in the DEL league for ERC Ingolstadt.
