The plight of the league’s bottom team grows: two top players sidelined
The league’s bottom team KooKoo is still hunting for its first win of the season. It has lost all seven of its matches and earned only one point.
On Saturday, KooKoo will face Jukurit at home, which is on a six-game winning streak and currently second in the standings. KooKoo has experienced significant losses heading into the match.
Kouvola’s number one goalie Eetu Randelin was injured in Friday’s match against Ilves and had to leave the game early. The same happened to the first line forward Veeti Miettinen. Neither will be in KooKoo’s lineup on Saturday.
Also, Vilmos Gallo and Niklas Nykyri have dropped out of KooKoo’s lineup. In addition to them, Oskari Luoto, Tomas Mazura, and Joseph Berger were already sidelined.
From outside the lineup, KooKoo’s roster will include goalie Samuel Heikkinen, defenders Jiri Pärssinen and Niilo Romppanen, and forward Verner Miettinen on Saturday.
