The most valuable player of the league playoffs has been chosen.
The honor went to the championship team Tappara’s Joni Tuulola. The selection is extremely rare in the light of history, as the Jari Kurri award has previously only gone to a defender once.
The award has been given since the 1993-94 season.
Tuulola played 17 games in this spring’s playoffs with stats of 4+6. His plus-minus rating was plus nine.
– Quite unique. If nothing else, I get to tease Vellu Savinainen about the Jari Kurri championship, Tuulola said in an interview with MTV.
