The league’s powerhouse still without a team – Expressen: SHL clubs struck at the opportunity
Jonne Tammelan name is hot currency in the European transfer market. The 28-year-old forward, who was one of the most effective players for Ässät last season, is still without a club, although there has been interest at least in the Liiga and SHL.
According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, several SHL teams have once again put Tammela on their shopping list.
– Several SHL teams are still looking for reinforcements. One name that has reportedly returned to the desks of sports directors over the summer is Tammela. It is now clear that the 28-year-old is leaving Ässät, where he scored 34 points in 39 games last season, Expressen writes.
According to the newspaper, a transfer to Sweden would be quite possible in the current market situation.
– Considering the thinning options in the market, it would not be surprising if he ends up in the SHL soon, Expressen continues.
Tammela has been one of the most sought-after free agents in the Liiga this summer. Previously, at least HPK has been reported to have made a significant contract offer to the forward. Additionally, Kärpät and KooKoo have been rumored to be interested in the winger who scored 17+17=34 points in 39 games last season.
