The league’s points king to the NHL! Benjamin Rautiainen leaves Tappara
The biggest sensation player of the recently concluded league season, Benjamin Rautiainen, is heading to North America. The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Friday evening that they have signed the 20-year-old Finnish forward to a three-year NHL entry-level contract.
The Lightning selected Rautiainen in the 4th round of last summer’s NHL draft.
Rautiainen had a breakout year playing for Tappara in the recently concluded season. The young player scored an impressive 25+52=77 points in 59 regular season games and celebrated both the league’s scoring title and the Finnish championship at the end of the season.
For the 20-year-old Rautiainen, the concluded season was only his second full season in the league, but it was enough to elevate him among the brightest stars of the entire league.
Next, the league’s scoring king is aiming for a spot in the lineup of the Tampa Bay Lightning, known for their consistent success in the NHL.
