The league club announced two player contracts: “In a key role”
HPK has signed two-year extensions with defender Miska Kukkonen and forward Olli Korhonen. Therefore, both players’ contracts will run until the spring of 2028.
Kukkonen, 25, is in his second season with HPK. He has scored 10 points (6+4) in 26 games this season. Similarly, Korhonen, 27, who is also in his second season with the club, has recorded 13 points (7+6) in 26 games.
– Both Miska and Olli have proven to be extremely valuable to our team over the past two seasons. That’s why it was really important for them to be part of our team for the next two years. They play at a high level night after night and at the same time are progressing as players. These players are key to Kerho’s future success, HPK’s CEO Kaj Källarsson commented in the club’s statement.
In his previous Liiga career, Kukkonen has represented KooKoo, Lukko, and Tappara. He won the Finnish championship with Lukko in 2021. Korhonen has previously played for KooKoo and SaiPa.
