The cat took Tommi Niemelä’s tongue after the crushing defeat: “I have nothing to say”
The away game for Ilves in Pori ended in a harsh manner. Ässät was clearly stronger and crushed the game with a 5-1 victory.
In the post-match press conference, Ilves’ head coach Tommi Niemelä was very brief when asked for an analysis of the match.
– Congratulations to Ässät. Have a good evening everyone, Niemelä said with a smile.
– Well, can we get a bit more on this? the press conference host asked.
– I have nothing to say. Ässät was better than us in everything. Let’s move on, Niemelä replied.
The host asked Niemelä about the challenge he made. Did the rule change affect the fact that there is a lower threshold for the coach’s challenge, since there is no longer a penalty for it, but rather a loss of a timeout?
– We lost the timeout this time, Niemelä responded.
– What are the means to move forward from here? was the final question.
– We will practice a lot, Niemelä said.
Ilves’ games continue on Tuesday, September 8, against HPK in Hämeenlinna.
