The Canadian giant left Lukko – the new address has been revealed
Canadian defenseman Alex Peters, who played two seasons with Lukko, is moving to the German DEL league. Schwenninger Wild Wings announces that they have signed a contract with Peters for the upcoming season.
– Alex Peters is a defenseman with exactly the qualities we need for our playing style. He is very determined in his game and, despite his size, a good skater. His physical strength allows him to play consistently in defense while also providing quality to support our offensive play, says Schwenninger’s GM Stefan Wagner in the club’s announcement.
Peters, 29, played a total of 113 regular season games with Lukko over two seasons, recording 5+26=31 points. In the playoffs, he accumulated 15 games with 1+3 points.
Before his time with Lukko, Peters had not played in Europe. In previous seasons, he has played in the AHL and ECHL, among others.
Standing at 193 cm and weighing 100 kg, Peters is a third-round draft pick of the Dallas Stars from 2014. He has not played any NHL games in his career.
