That was it – Jokerit showed the door to two of their forwards!
Jokerit, joining the league next season, announced on Tuesday via Instagram the departure of two of its forwards.
According to the club, Otto Karvinen will not continue with the team after his contract ends. Karvinen represented Jokerit in all three Mestis seasons and managed to play 56 regular season games, scoring 6+12 points. In the playoffs, the forward appeared in 25 games, recording 4+4 points.
Teemu Henritius is also leaving the club. The homegrown player of Jokerit joined the team in the fall of 2023 and during his three Mestis seasons played a total of 120 regular season games, scoring 24 goals and 54 assists. In the playoffs, Henritius appeared in 29 games with stats of 7+11.
Both players’ contracts ended this season, and there is currently no information about their future clubs.
