Tappara’s lineup has a massive absence

The Liiga, which started with a six-match round on Tuesday, will also kick off on Wednesday for four other teams. JYP will face Ilves and Lukko will play against Tappara.
There is a huge gap in Tappara’s lineup as the evening approaches. Star goalie Christian Heljanko is not at all included in his team’s roster. He played in Tappara’s last practice match against HPK last week.
Heljanko, 28, returned to Tappara for this season after playing in Sweden and Germany last season. Heljanko has won three Finnish championships and three awards for the best goalie in the Liiga with Tappara.
Juha Metsola will start in goal against Lukko. Faustas Nauseda will serve as the backup goalie.
