Tappara rents out its young forward to Mestis: “Skating power and puck skills”
Tappara has rented forward Emil Järventie to Mestikseen Pyry Hockey. The rental agreement is valid until further notice.
Järventie, 20, suffered an injury last season, which made his season fragmented. Järventie played eight Liiga games for Tappara without scoring and six CHL games with stats of 1+1. Additionally, he played eight games for Tappara’s U20 team with stats of 3+2 and ten games for the Young Lions with points of 2+1.
– Last season was unfortunate for Järventie due to the injury. Now is a good time to seek game experience in Pyry and thus return towards Liiga games, commented Tappara’s GM Janne Vuorinen in the club’s announcement.
– Järventie brings a lot more skating power and puck skills to the offensive end. He is, of course, an impressive player, but we will start from a holistic approach to the game, commented Pyry Hockey’s head coach Toni Rautakorpi.
Järventie is a 7th round draft pick (#217) of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2023. In the Liiga, he has also played 15 games for SaiPa and four games for Ilves.
