Tappara opened the CHL season with a win – a harsh attendance number in Tampere

Tappara opened its CHL season on Thursday with a victory. They defeated the Czech team Liberec with a score of 6-3 at Hakametsä Ice Hall.
Tappara’s standout player was Aapeli Räsänen, who completed a hat trick. The other goals for the team were scored by Vilho Vanhatalo, Oliver Suvanto, and Juuso Nykänen. In goal for Tappara was Juha Metsola, who stopped 21 shots.
The goal scorers for Liberec were Radan Lenc, Martin Fasko-Rudas, and the familiar Adam Najman from Ilves.
The match did not attract a large crowd. The attendance at Hakametsä Ice Hall was reported to be only 1,800 spectators.
Next, Tappara will face the German team Kölner Haien in the CHL on Saturday, which is the former team of head coach Kari Jalonen.
