The rumored Swedish forward Linus Andersson is moving to the multinational ICEHL league. He has signed a one-year contract with the Austrian club Villacher SV.

Expressen reported at the end of May that Andersson was set to move to Liiga for the next season, but that transfer did not materialize at this point.

Andersson, 27, played last season in Allsvenskan for MoDo Hockey. He recorded 29 points in 44 regular season games (14+15) and 5 points in 12 playoff games (2+3). Andersson’s contract with MoDo would have covered the next season, but it was terminated.

Before the past season, Andersson played in Liiga for three seasons, representing KooKoo for two seasons and Sport for one season. He scored 96 points (45+51) in 144 regular season games in Finland.
