Kiekko-Espoo is set to lose their key player Kasper Kulonummi for next season.
According to reporter Sasha Huttunen, Kulonummi, 22, will continue his career next fall in North America.
Kulonummi is a 3rd round draft pick of the Nashville Predators from 2022.
The young defenseman, who moved from Tappara to Kiekko-Espoo for the 2024-25 season, played 42 games in the regular season this year with stats of 7+14=21. Despite his limited playing time, Kulonummi was the second most effective defenseman for the Espoo team in the regular season.
Kiekko-Espoo will play against Ässät in the first round of the playoffs starting on Friday.
Kiekko-Espoon Kasper Kulonummi on lähdössä Pohjois-Amerikkaan ensi kaudeksi.
