The defender Kasper Kotkansalo, 27, currently representing the SHL’s reigning champion team Luleå IF, is set to return to the Liiga next season.

According to reporter Sasha Huttunen, the World Championship gold medalist defender for the Little Lions will play for Kiekko-Espoo next season. Kotkansalo moved to the SHL this season from Espoo.

Kotkansalo, who has previously represented Ässät and HIFK in the Liiga, has had a limited role in the SHL this season. The 190-centimeter tall defender has played 21 games in the league without any points.
