Star players back in the lineup – League final spots at stake
The league’s both semifinal series continue on Monday evening with the first elimination games.
KooKoo has the opportunity to advance to the finals with a win against SaiPa. The team from Kouvola will receive a top reinforcement for the sixth match of the series played in Lappeenranta, as the golden helmet Ville Meskanen, who has been sidelined for the last two games, returns to the lineup.
SaiPa, on the other hand, is bringing back their golden helmet Maxime Fortier to the active roster. Fortier has watched the last two games from the stands due to his poor performances. Additionally, there have been concerns that the Canadian might be suffering from some degree of injury.
In Tampere, Tappara, who has won their last three games against Ilves, has the opportunity to secure their spot in the finals on Monday, just like KooKoo. Tappara will enter the match with the lineup from Saturday’s fifth game.
Ilves, on the other hand, has replaced the Olympic gold medalist captain Joonas Nättinen with Samuli Rataisen in their offense. This match will be only the second for Nättinen in the playoff spring. In addition, Toni Utunen will take Sebastian Soinin‘s place in Ilves’ defense.
The sixth semifinal matches in Tampere and Lappeenranta will start at 18:30.
