SS: The hero of KalPa’s championship team is changing scenery!

Swedish defender Filip Westerlund will not continue with KalPa next season, reports Savon Sanomat based on reliable information.
Westerlund, 27, represented KalPa for three seasons. This season he finished the regular season with a career-high 5+24=29 points in 59 games. In the playoffs, Westerlund scored two goals in 11 games.
Westerlund won the Finnish championship with KalPa a year ago. He secured the championship for KalPa in the overtime of the sixth final against SaiPa.
In the league, Westerlund has recorded a total of 197 regular season games with 27+48=75 points and 53 playoff games with 5+8=13 points. Before moving to KalPa, he represented Ilves during the spring of 2023.
