Squealing backfired – Mikko Rantanen received hefty fines

Recently, Mikko Rantanen has experienced several unfortunate setbacks.
The season for the Dallas Stars, represented by Rantanen, ended in the first round of the NHL playoffs, as the Minnesota Wild were stronger with a series score of 4-2. In the last game, Rantanen faced tough moments and injured himself when he fell to the ice during a confrontation.
Now Rantanen has received more bad news from the NHL’s disciplinary committee. The Finnish forward has been fined $5,000 for hitting Kirill Kaprizov in the face with his stick.
This season, Rantanen played 66 regular season games with a total of 22+55=77 points. In the playoffs, he recorded 1+6=7 points in six games.
