Sports cast: The league’s superstar moves to Jokers!

Rauma Lukko’s star defender Eric Gelinas, 34, is moving to Helsinki Jokers for the next season, reports Urheilucast.
Urheilucast’s host Esko Seppänen claims that Lukko wanted to extend their captain’s contract, but Jokerit made a strong offer to Gelinas and progressed in negotiations to a conclusion.
The only question mark regarding the transfer relates to a possible foreign option, but otherwise, the defender is said to be on his way to Ilmala.
The Canadian is currently playing his second season with Lukko. The 193-centimeter Gelinas has recorded 14 points (5+9) in 37 games this season in the Liiga.
