Raimo Helmisen SaiPa’s former key players have once again become a topic of discussion in Lappeenranta. Urheilucastin Esko Seppänen states that SaiPa is monitoring the situation of Ville Petman and Mikko Petman and their upcoming decisions.

– According to Urheilucastin, SaiPa has started monitoring what the Petman brothers Ville and Mikko will do next. And what their situation is – especially for one of them during the season in the Czech Republic. This is something that GM wizard Harri Aho is watching closely, Seppänen says in the broadcast.

The Petman brothers played an important role in Helmisen’s SaiPa a few seasons ago when SaiPa sensationally advanced to the finals.

– Everyone understands the impact of the Petmans on this entire Raipe phenomenon. They were the cornerstone of it all. Really interesting speculative hallway talks from the direction of Lappeenranta.

Seppänen does not reveal which of the brothers SaiPa is specifically monitoring. There is also no information about possible negotiations or transfers.

– Especially the other Petman is under observation. When Harri Aho decides something, it doesn’t often fail in these matters.

Mikko Petman, 27, is playing his second season in the Czech Republic. He has recorded 0+2 points in five games for HC Plzeň this season. The younger Ville has a record of 1+1 in five games.

Ville served as SaiPa’s captain in his last season with the club. He recorded 19+30=49 points in 59 regular season games in the league that year.
