Sport made a splash with the acquisition of a forward – NHL draft caught in the net
The league team Vaasan Sport strengthens its attack with Canadian Brett Harrison.
Sport announced on Friday that it has signed a contract with the 23-year-old forward for the remainder of the season.
Harrison played last season in the farm organizations of the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers. In the AHL, he recorded 21 points with 10 goals and 11 assists in 58 games.
The 191-centimeter forward can play both center and wing.
− Brett is a young forward who is progressing in his career, having played strong five-on-five hockey in the AHL in recent seasons. He stays well connected to the flow of the game and can play versatilely both in the center and on the wing. I believe he will certainly do well in the Finnish League, head coach Lauri Mikkola commented in Sport’s press release.
The Boston Bruins drafted Harrison in the third round of the 2021 NHL Draft.
The Canadian has played the last three seasons in the AHL. The forward’s NHL debut is still pending.
