The SHL team Luleå is desperately looking for a new forward reinforcement. The Swedish newspaper NSD reports that Luleå is particularly interested in the Canadian forward Ben Tardif from Kärpät.
– We do not comment on players from other teams, Luleå’s sports director Ulf Engman said to the newspaper.
According to NSD, Luleå has not yet reached an agreement with Kärpät regarding the transfer. The Oulu team would also like to receive a player in return.
Letting go of Tardif would be a surprising decision for Kärpät. The winger has been the team’s top scorer, accumulating 12 points with 9 goals and 3 assists in 15 games.
Before Friday’s Liiga round, Kärpät is sitting in 12th place in the league.
