Source: The Swedish cannon contract is terminated – returning to the League!
Swedish forward Linus Andersson, 27, is returning to the Liiga after a one-season break, reports Expressen. MoDo Hockey, playing in the Allsvenskan, is terminating Andersson’s contract for the upcoming season, and according to Expressen, several signs indicate that Andersson is moving to Finland.
Andersson joined MoDo this season from the Liiga on a two-year contract. He played 44 regular season games for the team last season, scoring 14+15=29 points, and 12 playoff games with 2+3 points.
Before last season, Andersson played in the Liiga for three years. He first represented KooKoo for two seasons and then Sport for one season. Andersson’s single-season goal record in the Liiga is 16 goals, and he has scored a maximum of 38 points in a season.
In total, Andersson has recorded 144 regular season games in the Liiga with a total of 45+51=96 points and 14 playoff games with 3+1 points.
