Tappara is targeting Swedish Marcus Karlberg for their offense, reports Expressen. Another club is also after Karlberg, as according to Expressen, AIK, which plays in Allsvenskan, has now arrived with contract offers.
Karlberg, 26, has played the last four seasons in the SHL with Leksands IF. This season, he recorded 4+2 points in 44 games with the team. In the previous season, Karlberg scored 24 points in 51 games.
In his career, Karlberg has played a total of 209 games in the SHL, achieving 24+25=49 points.
AIK is also a familiar club for Karlberg. He had a brief loan stint with the team in the 2019-2020 season, playing five games and scoring one goal.
Karlberg is a 3rd round draft pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2018.
