Source: Hint from Sport forward about his future – transfer ahead? “Anything is possible”
Vaasan Sport’s Swedish forward Ludvig Larsson, 30, hinted at a return to his home country.
Larsson tells Sydsvenskan that he is open to moving to the SHL with Malmö Redhawks. The options are a transfer for next season or during the current season.
– Yes, anything is possible, Larsson says.
Larsson mentions that he had discussions with the club’s sports director Oscar Alsenfelt last summer. Larsson was born in Malmö and last played for the club in the 2013-14 season in the juniors.
A transfer during the season is quite possible considering that this season the league has removed relegation due to the restructuring of the league model. Currently, the struggling Sport is 15 points away from a playoff spot.
– Probably everyone is under the threat of transfer. We’ll see how many players they want to and can get rid of. It’s about their financial survival, Larsson commented on Sport’s situation to Sydsvenskan.
Larsson joined Sport for this season on a one-year contract. However, he has only played nine games, scoring 1+5 points. Larsson was injured in early October, and Sport announced at that time that he would be out for 3-4 months. Larsson’s return to playing condition is expected to happen next year.
Before moving to the Liiga, Larsson played four seasons in the SHL. He first represented Rögle for two seasons and then Örebro for two seasons.
