SHL star furious about Urheilucast’s Jokerit rumor: “Bullsh*t”
Urheilucast reported that Jokerit is after SHL’s Örebro star defender David Quenneville. The podcast host Esko Seppänen stated that the acquisition is considered 99 percent certain.
Örebro’s local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda inquired about the matter with Quenneville. He was outright furious about the Jokerit rumor.
– My phone has completely exploded because of such nonsense. I can say that it is nonsense. It’s a joke that such things are even printed. It’s so comical, Quenneville told NA.
– People reporting this should lose their jobs. To be honest, it’s complete bullshit.
– I don’t know why I would take a step back in my career. I have nothing against the Finnish league. There are a lot of good players there. My brother is one of them, and many of our fantastic players have played there. But as I said, it’s horse shit.
Quenneville, 27, has scored 30 points (12+18) in 38 games on Örebro’s defense this season. According to Expressen, Örebro has made an extension agreement with Quenneville, but the contract has not yet been announced.
Quenneville’s brother is Peter Quenneville, who represents Kiekko-Espoo.
