Semir Ben-Amor was arrested – former controversial player comments on severe criminal suspicion to Seiska
Former Liiga player Semir Ben-Amor‘s name has come to light due to a police investigation, debts, and a legal dispute. According to Seiska reports, Ben-Amor is suspected in a series of frauds, and at the same time, he is burdened by significant enforcement debts.
The West Uusimaa police are investigating a series of frauds involving two suspects.
– I will not comment on the person’s name or any enforcement actions, but based on your description, we have a similar case under investigation. This is a series of frauds involving two individuals, commented the leading crime commissioner Jyrki Kallio to Seiska.
According to the police, the investigation has been ongoing for about two months, and the preliminary investigation is expected to be concluded in March.
Ben-Amor confirms that he was briefly detained:

Businesses and Debts
Ben-Amor founded Sport Empire Oy in April 2021. The company was removed from business two years later, accumulating 61,600 euros in enforcement debts, mainly tax debts.
Founded in 2018, The Park Boys Oy is also in debt. Jere Karalahti was initially involved in the company. There is 26,800 euros in enforcement debts, with the largest creditor being the tax authority. After January 19, Ben-Amor’s name has been removed from the company’s responsible persons, and the company currently has no board or CEO.
Ben-Amor also has personal enforcement debts of 68,800 euros. Unpaid debts include taxes, alimony, YEL insurance payments, and over 10,000 euros in wages to a private individual. The debts have not been collected due to lack of funds.
Dispute in District Court
Ben-Amor is the defendant in a dispute being handled by the Helsinki District Court, initiated by MR. JJ restaurants.
The company paid 48,450 euros for a padel court, artificial turf, and a golf putting green for an outdoor fitness area planned in Hämeenlinna. The installation was agreed upon with The Park Boys Oy, managed by Ben-Amor, but it was not carried out.
According to Ben-Amor, the materials were left with him because the selling company owed him money. According to the district court, no response to the lawsuit has been received by the deadline, and a hearing date has not yet been set.
Ben-Amor: “I have also been scammed”
Ben-Amor denies the criminal suspicions and claims to have been a victim of a crime himself.
– To my understanding, I am no longer suspected of anything, as I have also been scammed. I have lost about 100,000 euros due to embezzlement.
– Fortunately, the police are investigating the matter, and soon the truth will come to light.
Regarding his financial situation, he states:
– Once this police case is resolved, I will settle my debts. They are easily payable.
According to Ben-Amor, the district court dispute is also close to a settlement, but the matter is still pending in the Helsinki District Court.
