In the SM league, a serious foul – sanctions

The SM-liiga has placed KalPa forward Jaakko Lantta under a temporary suspension.
Lantta, 29, is therefore not allowed to play in his team’s match against KooKoo on Saturday.
Lantta and KalPa faced the Kouvola team already on Friday. In that match, while on the ice, Lantta kicked the opponent Jesper Ahlroth in the leg.
The league has suspended Lantta during the disciplinary process, as the kick is considered to have been clearly intentional.
Lantta received a 5+20 minute penalty for the incident during the match.
