The revenue of Lappeenranta SaiPa’s parent company Liiga-Saipa Oy rose to over nine million euros in the recently concluded financial year. The operating profit from the bronze season was a solid 409,000 euros.

SaiPa’s CEO Jani Valkeapää commented on the results on the club’s website.

– We are very pleased with the development of the past financial year. It is particularly gratifying to see the strong growth in our restaurant and event operations.

– The great atmosphere at Kisapuisto and the strong sense of community were significant parts of both our sporting and financial success, Valkeapää states.

SaiPa’s budget will increase by about 30 percent in the upcoming season. In the regular season, the club aims for an average of 3,700 spectators per match.

– The upcoming season is very challenging, and we will need to perform well both in sports and in other organizational activities to achieve our financial goals. Achieving a break-even result requires success in the playoffs and financial success during the CHL season, Valkeapää explains the challenges of the upcoming “super season.”

For SaiPa, the victorious season was already the second in a row. A year ago, the club made an operating profit of 553,000 euros on a revenue of 8.1 million euros.
