Rene Nummelin: the new team has been revealed!
Earlier today, Rene Nummelin, who terminated his contract with TPS, continues his career at TUTO Hockey. The Turku club announced the defender’s two-year contract.
The son of TPS club legend Petteri Nummelin made his debut in the Liiga this season. Nummelin played a total of two Liiga games.
– Rene is a talented ball player who is taking his first steps at the men’s level. We are happy to have Rene join us on a longer contract. We are also pleased that Rene sees TUTO as the best option for his development, says the head coach of the Turku club, Samuli Marjeta, in a statement.
This season, Nummelin has primarily represented TPS’s U20 team, where he played 20 games with a scoring record of 1+10=11. Additionally, he played eight games on loan with Joensuun Kiekko-Pojat.
