Over 700 NHL games cult player: career over!
In the NHL, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, who has played over 700 games, is retiring, reports the Swiss radio station Radio RFJ.
The 41-year-old French forward played the last two seasons with Switzerland’s HC Ajoie. In his final season, he recorded 1+10 points in 37 games.
Bellemare played over 700 games in the NHL representing the Philadelphia Flyers, Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Seattle Kraken. His NHL career totals were 64+74=138.
On the international stage, Bellemare represented France in 12 World Championships and at the Milan Olympics in 2026. In 2017, he was inducted into the French Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
After ending his playing career, Bellemare is looking towards coaching opportunities in North America. Bellemare and his family plan to move to Florida next.
– I plan to talk to these clubs and see what they might consider an interesting role for me.
