Over 400 League matches Finnish forward moves abroad – here is the new address
Forward Joose Antonen, 30, who played for HPK at the beginning of the season, is moving abroad.
The Hungarian club Ferencvárosi TC, playing in the ICEHL league, announces that it has acquired Antonen to its roster on Instagram.
Antonen played for HPK for just over two months and recorded 10 points (3+7) in 22 games. His contract with the club ended on December 31 and was not renewed.
In the league, Antonen has played a total of 403 regular season games (70+126=196) and 46 playoff games (6+10=16). He has also represented JYP, Lukko, Ilves, KooKoo, Kärpät, Tappara, and Kiekko-Espoo.
Last season, Antonen represented as many as four different clubs. In addition to Tappara and Kiekko-Espoo, he played in Germany for Fischtown Pinguins and in Sweden’s Allsvenskan for Södertälje SK.
Ferencvárosi is currently in 11th place in the 13-team ICEHL. The team’s head coach is Timo Saarikoski and among the Finnish players are Paavo Tyni, Aku Kestilä, Topi Rönni, and Jussi Tammela.
