New York Islanders has signed a one-year contract with defenseman Logan Stanley. The team announced the acquisition of the 28-year-old free agent on Sunday.
Stanley was one of the toughest remaining names on the NHL’s free agent market.
The two-meter tall Stanley scored nine goals and 26 points in 76 NHL regular season games last season. He started the season with the Winnipeg Jets and was traded to the Buffalo Sabres mid-season. Stanley also played eight playoff games in Buffalo.
Winnipeg drafted Stanley as the 18th player in the 2016 NHL Draft. He has accumulated 14 goals and 62 points in 278 NHL regular season games.
