The forward Alex Beaucage, known for his powerful shot, will continue with Rauman Lukko in the 2026-27 season. Beaucage’s contract had an option for next season, which both the player and the club have decided to exercise together.

Beaucage was one of the league’s best scorers during the regular season. He recorded 44 points with 24 goals and 20 assists in 55 games. In the playoffs, he didn’t score, but Beaucage managed to get one assist in four games.

Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt describes Beaucage’s strengths in the club’s press release.

– Beaucage was our best scorer and naturally an important player for that reason, but “Bucky” is also a very complete player; he was the team’s hardest hitter, good at stealing the puck, and he really fought for the team night after night, Sahlstedt commented.

– We can be satisfied with Alex’s last season, and that’s why it’s of course great news that we can keep him in Rauma for next season as well. He does a lot for the team, and when you add a significant number of goals on top of that, he will surely be an important piece next season as well.
