Now it is certain! Here is Jonne Virtanen’s workplace for the coming years.
Mikkelin Jukurit has signed a two-year extension with head coach Jonne Virtanen. The contract also includes an option for the 2029-30 season.
– Good feelings. I have been able to do my own thing here. The people I get to work with are really good at their jobs, and I have learned a lot from them, Virtanen says on the club’s website.
– From the beginning, we have been able to build an identity for the team. I think coaching processes in Finland are usually unfortunately short, so it’s great that we can now continue building in a long-term way. There’s nothing to do but keep our chin up and keep working.
Virtanen has made a strong impact as the head coach of Jukurit. Although the team was predicted to be at the bottom of the league, Jukurit has collected 24 points from their first 14 matches.
