Now it’s certain: The league’s superstar is moving to Jokerit!
Jokerit announces that they have signed a 1+1 year contract with American forward Patrick Curry.
Curry, 30, represented KalPa for the past two seasons. He became one of the league’s star players, scoring a total of 104 regular season games with 47+54=101 points. Curry celebrated the Finnish championship with KalPa a year ago.
– We wanted Patrick in Jokerit because he is an energetic player who works incredibly hard on the ice and scores points. He gives his all in every shift and approaches battles as if it were game seven of the playoffs. Patrick also ignites others with his play. He is a player you love to have on your team but hate to face as an opponent – a player that embodies Jokerit, says Jokerit’s sports director Olli-Pekka Yrjänheikki in the club’s announcement.
– I am already looking forward to representing Jokerit. I will bring a lot of energy and passion to the team. I will wear the logo with pride and continue to do what I have already shown in the league, Curry says.
