Jokerit has signed a two-year contract with forward Antti Kalapudas. The 29-year-old Kalapudas is moving to the Helsinki club from SaiPa, where he played 51 games this season, scoring 18+24=42 points.

The Oulainen Huima product has played a total of 11 seasons in the Liiga and over 550 regular season games. In these games, his points tally stands at 114+202=316.

Kalapudas has represented Kärpät, KalPa, Sport, JYP, and SaiPa in the Liiga. His trophy cabinet includes an SM silver with SaiPa from the 2024–2025 season, an SM bronze from the 2025–2026 season, and U20 World Championship gold from 2016.

– We know that we are getting a player in Antti who can score points in the Liiga. He can hold onto the puck and sees clever passing options. When you combine this with strong special teams skills, Antti will be a very versatile and multifunctional forward for us, said Jokerit’s sports director Olli-Pekka Yrjänheikki in a statement.

Kalapudas describes himself as an offensive player.

– As a player, I am offensive and I try to bring creativity through that. Additionally, I have played quite a few games in this league, so I can help the team in different situations that way, Kalapudas describes.
