According to Ilta-Sanomat information Harri Pesonen is moving to JYP with a two-year contract. The 37-year-old forward is making a return to the SM-liiga after a 14-year break.

In the last five seasons, Pesonen represented SCL Tigers in Switzerland and served as the team’s captain. In the recently concluded season, he recorded 28 points with 14 goals and 14 assists in 45 games.

A product of JYP, he won Finnish championships with the club in 2009 and 2012 before moving abroad. He also played in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils, as well as in the AHL and KHL during his career.

In the national team, Pesonen was an important part of the Lions. He won world championships in 2019 and 2022, as well as Olympic gold in 2022.
