NHL made a decision – the Finnish player’s future is secured

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed a two-year contract extension with Finnish goaltender Joel Blomqvist. The team announced that the contract is two-way and has an annual value of 850,000 dollars.
During his three years spent in North America, Blomqvist has played 15 NHL games with Pittsburgh. In these games, his save percentage has been 88.44.
Last season, the 23-year-old goaltender appeared in 26 AHL games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. His save percentage was 91.4.
Pittsburgh also announced other player contracts at the same time. Goaltender Arturs Silovs and forward Jegor Tshinahov will continue with the team, and additionally, forward David Gustafsson has signed a contract with the team.
