The Toronto Maple Leafs have made their decision regarding their new head coach. The club’s new head coach is Jim Hiller, who was dismissed from his position as head coach of the Los Angeles Kings during the recently concluded season.
This marks a return to familiar territory, as Hiller worked in Toronto as an assistant coach from 2015 to 2019 in Mike Babcock’s coaching staff.
The 57-year-old Canadian served as head coach of the Kings from February 2024 until the club decided to relieve him of his duties this March.
Hiller also has experience with several other NHL organizations. Before the Kings, Hiller worked as an assistant coach in addition to Toronto with the Detroit Red Wings and the New York Islanders.
Jim Hiller has been named the 41st Head Coach in franchise history!
