Lukko’s Canadian forward Alex Beaucage, 24, was injured during the Pelicans game on Tuesday and had to leave the game. He was hit by Miro Väänänen and had to be assisted off the ice.

New information has emerged regarding Beaucage’s situation. Lukko’s sports director Kalle Sahlstedt tells MTV Sports that Beaucage came out of the situation with just a scare. However, today, Friday, he will not play as Lukko faces Kärpät in Oulu.

– This day comes too early. However, it seems that it is not a serious injury, Sahlstedt says to MTV.

Lukko states on their website that Beaucage’s situation will be evaluated day by day.

Beaucage is having a strong season. He has scored 32 points with 18 goals and 14 assists in 38 games, making him Lukko’s top scorer and second-best point getter. He is tied for fourth place in the league’s goal scoring chart.
