MTV: Big revelation from Janne Pesonen – HIFK received top news!
HIFK’s star acquisition Sebastian Repo is expected to return to action this week.
MTV Sports reports that Repo practiced with the HIFK team on Monday. The 191-centimeter power forward acquired from Rauman Lukko has been sidelined since last March.
HIFK’s sports director Janne Pesonen says that Repo may be seen in the lineup as early as Wednesday against Lukko.
– I believe that unless something extraordinary happens, “Sebu” is back in business, Pesonen said to MTV Sports.
There is quite a backlog in HIFK’s injury list at the moment. In addition to Repo, Niko Hovinen, Valtteri Piironen, Jere Somervuori, and Arttu Kärki are under daily observation.
Injured over the weekend, Petteri Lindbohm and Panu Mieho are also under the watch of HIFK’s doctors. Long-term patient Juhani Jasu‘s situation is also being monitored.
For sure, Ilari Melart and Iiro Pakarinen will be sidelined for a longer period.
