Kiekko-Vantaa, playing in Mestiksen, has strengthened its lineup with a notable forward. The Vantaa club has signed a contract with Sami Moilanen, which includes a trial period, who has won two Finnish championships with Tappara.

Moilanen will join the playing roster in Kiekko-Vantaa’s Tuesday practice match against Nokian Pyry.

The 27-year-old Moilanen did not play in any league last season. In the season before that, the forward played in the top leagues of Denmark and Hungary.

Moilanen was last seen in the Liiga during the 2022-23 season, when he represented Tappara in 28 games with stats of 2+4=6.

In total, the 175-centimeter Moilanen has played 195 regular season games in the Liiga with stats of 19+19=38.
