Lukko names its new captain – “Exemplary professional”

The lock will have a new captain for the upcoming Liiga season.
The Rauma club announced on Thursday that star defenseman Eric Gelinas, 34, will serve as the team’s captain this season.
– This player is extremely experienced, having seen a lot of the world in various leagues. An exemplary professional both in the locker room and on the ice. Among other players, he is very natural and deserves the unwavering respect of his teammates, as explained in the video published by Lukko.
Gelinas will begin his second season in Rauma. Last season, the Canadian talent recorded impressive stats of 6+11=17 in 21 games. He was also among Lukko’s best in the playoffs, with 2+4=6 in 11 games.
