KooKoo started to make moves: four top players out – other Liiga teams immediately on the hunt!
KooKoo is making big changes after the League season final loss. Several key players are leaving the club.
Captain Otto Paajanen is leaving KooKoo after three seasons. He scored 40 points in the regular season and five points in the playoffs. According to Iltalehti, Paajanen is moving to TPS for the next season.
Forward Joonas Oden is also leaving Kouvola after two seasons. He scored 29 points in the regular season and was effective in the playoffs. According to Iltalehti, Oden is moving to HPK.
From the defense, Kalle Loponen and Jimi Suomi are leaving. Loponen scored 27 points in the regular season last year. Suomi is moving to SHL club Växjö Lakers.
KooKoo reached its first League finals in club history this season but lost the championship to Tappara in a seven-game series.
