KooKoo signed an important extension – “A very big piece”
KooKoo, which is among the success stories of the league season, announced an important contract extension on Saturday.
The Kouvola-based club reports that it has signed a one-year contract extension with Estonian forward Robert Rooban, 32. Rooba has played 41 games this season with stats of 9+19=26.
– Rooba brings size, skating power, and leadership to the team, and his value to the team is very significant both on the ice and in the locker room, commented sports director Antti Tuomenoksa in the club’s announcement.
– A team always needs leading personalities, and “Robin’s” extension is a very big piece in building next season’s team.
Having played nearly 600 Liiga games in his career, Rooba has represented KooKoo as well as JYP and Espoon Blues in the Liiga.
