Kiekko-Espoo has signed a one-year extension with one of the club’s owners, Tomi Sallinen, 36.
Sallinen returned to Espoo last season from the SHL. The season was tough for the veteran center, as he recorded modest stats of 2+7=9 in 46 regular-season games.
− It’s great to continue working in Espoo. It’s always an honor to represent my hometown. Last season was difficult, but now there’s a new opportunity to succeed, Sallinen said on the club’s website.
In addition to the league and the SHL, Sallinen has played in the KHL, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic, and he has won two World Championship silver medals with the Lions during his career.
