The striker Tomi Sallinen, who started his season brilliantly, was not in Kiekko-Espoo’s lineup on Saturday.
The 36-year-old Sallinen was injured on Friday in the first period of the HIFK match due to a hit from Jesse Seppälä. The veteran forward was able to finish the game, but today he was not seen in the lineup against JYP.
Kiekko-Espoo already had top centers Matti Järvinen and Santeri Virtanen injured.
Sallinen has been Kiekko-Espoo’s top scorer this season. The forward has recorded 8+5=13 points in 16 games.
