Kasperi Kotkansalo heads to a surprising destination – The capture of the Liiga club revealed!
The defender Kasper Kotkansalo, who terminated his contract with SHL club Luleå HF on Monday, continues his career in the rinks of Austria.
The Graz99ers, playing in the ICEHL league, announced that they have signed a contract with the 27-year-old Finn that runs until the end of the current season.
– I recently went through a bit of a tough period in Sweden. Therefore, the anticipation is now even greater. I can’t wait to get started again. I’ve only heard good things about the club, the team, and the fans. Now I want to do everything I can to make the season great for both Graz and myself. I believe I can bring positive things to the ice and the locker room, Kotkansalo commented in the club’s announcement.
Kotkansalo joined Luleå HF this season from Kiekko-Espoo, but he ended up getting little responsibility in Sweden. The 190-centimeter defender played 21 games in the SHL without scoring any points.
The Graz99ers also revealed in their announcement that Kotkansalo already has a contract for next season with Kiekko-Espoo. Previously, there had only been rumors about a possible return to the Liiga.
